How does the 8-day visibility forecast work?
Our 8-day Mt. Fuji visibility forecast is our flagship feature! We provide detailed visibility predictions for both North and South viewpoints, with separate morning (AM) and afternoon (PM) scores for each day. This allows you to plan your visit up to a week in advance and choose the optimal time and location for viewing Mt. Fuji.
How do the visibility scores work?
Visibility is rated from 1 (poor) to 10 (excellent). Scores 9-10: Visible - clear conditions with excellent visibility. Scores 7-8: Partially Visible - good visibility with some atmospheric conditions. Scores 4-6: Barely Visible - limited visibility due to clouds/haze. Scores 1-3: Not Visible - poor weather conditions prevent visibility. We provide separate morning (AM) and afternoon (PM) scores.
What do North and South viewpoints mean?
North viewpoint shows Mt. Fuji from the northern side (Kawaguchiko, Yamanakako areas), while South viewpoint shows from the southern side (Hakone, Ashinoko areas). The visibility can differ significantly between these perspectives due to different weather patterns and geographical features.
