About this view --------------- This camera streams from the observation deck at the top of the Mt Fuji Panoramic Ropeway on Mt Tenjo, the small mountain on the eastern shore of Lake Kawaguchi. It is provided by UTY, a Yamanashi television station, and looks south toward the summit about 17 km away. From this height the view clears the rooftops entirely: Fuji rises across the valley with the town and lake spread out below, the same panorama visitors ride the ropeway to see. The elevation is this camera's advantage. On mornings when low haze or thin mist sits over the lake basin, the deck can be above the murk with a clean line to the summit, so it is worth checking alongside the lakeshore cams whenever they look grey.
