 Mount Fuji Visibility in June 2026 Rainy Season Begins
========================================================

June marks the start of the Japanese rainy season (tsuyu), and Mt. Fuji visibility drops sharply. Persistent low cloud, high humidity, and frequent rain can obscure the mountain for a week or more at a time. Early June, before tsuyu fully sets in, can still produce occasional excellent mornings.

If your trip is locked into June, watch the daily charts on this page for clearer breaks. They do happen, and the contrast against the otherwise grey sky can be striking.

   Can I climb Mt. Fuji in June? No. The official climbing season starts in early July. June trails are closed, with snow still present at higher elevations.
