Enoshima Island sits in the right side of the frame, connected to the mainland by a bridge. Fuji is low and small on the horizon because of the distance, with the surf zone and the silhouette of Enoshima providing most of the foreground. On clear days the white snow line on Fuji's summit appears above the dark Pacific. The Pacific coast gives its longest Fuji-visibility windows in autumn and winter (October through February), when westerly winds push humid air offshore. Sunsets in early April and early September sometimes align with the summit when viewed from specific points along Shichirigahama, producing a "Diamond Fuji" effect. The beach faces west, so afternoon and evening give the best light on the silhouette, though not the best odds: our south-side score, the nearest anchor, ran 48% of mornings against 29% of afternoons across the archive year. How far is Shichirigahama from the station? About a 5-minute walk from Shichirigahama Station on the Enoden line, roughly an hour from central Tokyo. If the snow line is showing in the feed when you leave Kamakura, the hop is short enough that the view is very likely still there when you reach the sand.
