Shimoyoshida Station on the Fujikyu line, four stops from Kawaguchiko Station, is about a 5-minute walk from the shrine entrance at the foot of the hill. From there the staircase of 398 steps climbs to the pagoda, with the viewing terrace another short flight above. The whole approach is short enough that a clear summit in the feed when you leave the station is usually still there from the terrace. Is Chureito the same place as Arakurayama Sengen Park?
